Amanda Dawes

Co-Founder, Relationships, Intimacy & Sexual Wellbeing Specialist, Mindfulness Facilitator & Menopause Expert

With nearly two decades of experience across health policy, service development, and integrative wellbeing, I’ve worked across academic, government, private, and public sectors to build compassionate, accessible support for individuals and communities often left behind by traditional systems. My work spans reproductive and hormonal health, mental health, trauma-informed care, and wellbeing across the life course, supporting children, adolescents and young adults, women, people aged 45+, and LGBTQ+ communities. In recent years, my focus has expanded to include DEIB and mindfulness, helping organisations create healthier, more inclusive environments for both staff and service users. In Harmony was born from my own health journey, shaped by living with PCOS and a near-fatal pregnancy. It’s a space where western and alternative approaches work together, and where people feel heard, respected, and truly supported.

Alignment with the In Harmony Concept

I opened In Harmony with Sonia because we both saw the same gap: people were being treated in pieces, rather than supported as whole human beings. My own journey living with PCOS and experiencing a near-fatal pregnancy showed me how easily women can be dismissed, especially when symptoms are complex, hormonal, or hard to “prove” on paper. Together, we wanted to create the kind of space we wished existed, one that brings evidence-informed western care and trusted complementary approaches into genuine collaboration. Just as importantly, we wanted mental and emotional wellbeing to be part of the conversation, not an afterthought. In Harmony exists so people feel heard, held, and supported with care that is integrated, trauma-aware, and deeply human.
